Let me tell you a little bit about myself, my career in massage therapy, and how I can best serve you. I will start from the beginning. In 1996, 22 years old, I was at a crossroads. What do I want to do with my life? What would make me happy, and not just have a “job”. Massage and bodywork are my answer. It isn’t just a job for me, it’s a way of life. I look forward to bringing my experience, education and passion for my clients and community wherever I am blessed to care for people. I started my career with the first job I could land. Seated massage in the Tacoma Mall. I laugh so hard at this now, yet still friends with 2 people I met in my time there. I needed a place to work on clients I met at the mall, so I worked at a friend’s place renting the time she wasn’t using in Tacoma. Then at Olympus Spa “when it was new”. I got tired of random massage jobs, so I filled in for a therapist going on maternity leave for a year. I built my own practice “Intuitive Touch Massage”. I was there 5.5 years. I found my first “work family” with Henschell Chiropractic in Bonney Lake for 10.5 years. Most of that time I was self-employed. That was the start of clinical “Insurance work”. I have now watched the insurance world come full circle. I am going back to simpler times and no longer billing Health Insurances. I am looking forward to implementing new modalities into my practice.

July 2013 my husband and I joined our lives together. We bought our homestead overlooking the beautiful Duvall Valley. I started working for Redmond Ridge Chiropractic for 3 years. I became self-employed again 6 years ago starting Serenity Medical Massage & Bodywork LLC. I rented a room out of Physio Care PT for 3 years. The last three years I have thoroughly enjoyed working inside Studio Beju. My work family is again INCREDIBLE! We are in the process of building a garage, and home office. I cannot wait to bring massage home, in my own space.

Making people happy, healing through bodywork and stretching, is my answer to incredible care. I never knew how much my carrier would transform me to be a better healer for my clients, as well as myself. I can say I have finally found my tribe. The right education! Not just taking just any continuing education courses. Taking master classes from the world’s BEST this last 5 years. I am just beginning to scratch the surface of world techniques. I possess the ability to listen to each client’s treatment needs and individualize care during each massage. I have assisted in multiple birthing experiences, treated children of all ages, teenagers, adults, to geriatric and oncology care. I have a knack for making people feel comfortable, and in great hands. I have participated in sporting events for pre and post massage, interned at Tacoma General Hospital doing massage in Maternity, post-surgical, and oncology. I have worked with professional athletes. I am looking forward to taking massage to the World level, and potentially traveling and teaching.

The bulk of my carrier has been in a Chiropractic setting working closely with Chiropractors, Doctors, and Physical Therapists. This experience has provided me with a wide range of massage skills from relaxation, Sports injury and rehabilitation, body trauma, auto and work injury, maternity care and delivery assistance, heated stone massage, Structural Relief Therapy, disabled care, Chronic conditions, Thai massage, general health, and well-being. As well as so much more.

Over the years my clients have nominated me for King 5 “Best Of The Northwest”. Left me with incredible reviews and continue to lift me up in the community whenever someone new is looking for a fantastic therapist. I am so blessed to be trusted by my clients. I am eager to meet and care for anyone who walks through my doors. Let me cater my experience to your body care needs and melt away your stress and body aches. I am not the average “massage therapist”. I am very detailed and can get into deeper tissue layers without hurting you.
